VCMC open autocross event @ Boundary Bay tomorrow
Who'll be interested in coming to spectate or try autocross tomorrow? I don't have to work tomorrow so I will be THEEEEEEEEERE!
FYI u don't need to have any club's membership to participate in this event. So it will be a good chance to participate if u haven't try autocrossing before.
I will be there at around 8am usually. Will post up more info tonite.
Anyway if u are interested. Pls feel free to post up!

Come on guys. s2kvancouver? Darwin? navybeaN? ttang?
U guys just need to bring an umbrella, windbreaker, some sun screen lotion if u're coming to spectate the event. And bring a helmet if u have one if u're going to drive. If u don't have a helmet, there are loaner helmets there so it's not a problem at all.
For price wise it's 25cad for the event+ 5cad license fee. U will get about 6runs or MAYBE more depends on how many drivers are participating in that event.
U can ask any of the drivers there to give u a ride. Most of the experienced drivers are very nice and doesn't mind to give anyone a ride while they're out there ...
What else, umm yeah I will be there at around 8am. What u will have to do is park your car. Pay for the event at the timing booth and after that go for a technical inspection on your car. Then u can grab a course map and walk the course.
If anyone of you are coming, I don't mind to guide u guys around the cones and give u guys some rides in my friend's impreza(although I'm not a good driver). I think Oswald won't mind too.
Feel free to call me if u guys are there. My phone # is listed on the contact list thread. Which is 604-505-VTEC(my name is Jackie).

There won't be any club practice event until early or mid-August I think. This was an open club event that u don't have to be the club's member to participate in this single event. That's why I was asking u guys to go together. If u like it then u guys can join the club later on.
Anyway we had fun today(despite the rain in the afternoon). Course design was a really long & tight one. I kinda feel like driving in a parking lot. Most of the drivers finish it in around 68-73sec range. We had 56 drivers partcipated in this event and we had 6runs in the whole day.
It was good anyway since it's wet enough to try out how your car will react on the course in a warmer day. So it isn't as bad as those days I had in the UBCSCC slush event(local autocross events that held during winter time) after all.

Btw gotta thanks Cary Lam for offering me a ride in Markus's Miata. I sure was fun to ride with him no matter what he's driving.
Experienced the first spun in a FR car. It's pretty cool since we didn't even hit a cone in that wide open area.
Like Miatas even more now. Too bad it's a two seater.

More of you guys who hang out here should come out =).
It's a lot of fun and don't waste your car! Our S2k's like to be driven hard =).
Sat's course was not as fun as it should be. It was way too tight and it's hard to have a clean run.
And the weather was unfair to the second group drivers because of the pouring rain.
Come out guys. It would be so fun to compete with our S2k's, and we can show those
miatas some Honda Power.
