Wow!!
Tonight was the very first night i decided to launch my car. All i have to say is wow, it was so much fun. I dont want to make a habit of it though because i know these tires wear very fast, and they are also very expensive(at least they are very expensive for me). What rpm do you guys usually launch at?
Tonight i launched it at 5-6k rpm, just before VTEC. I dont know i just think launching in VTEC territory would put too much strain. That was definately the best launch i have ever had(well atleast a real launch). Perfect amount of wheel spin. wooohooo!!

I don't launch the car off the line often, but if I do it's usually between 5-6k. A rolling launch is just as fun without putting too much stress on the car. There shouldn't be any hesitation in releasing the clutch or it won't grab and you'll get a taste of that horrible burning smell for a couple of days.
Remember to watch out for wet pavement, all it takes is just a tiny amount of water and the rear will hang out between 1-2shift.
