You in Portland? These rarely pass emissions. Just saying.

Budget seems low since top condition 2006+ S2000s are pushing $23K now and a professional supercharger installation (LHT) was priced at $9K when I checked last summer. Looked at the ads here? There are usual boosted cars in a variety of condition.

I have a Portland number but I'm located in VA, but register my car in FL (military) so passing emissions isn't an issue. Yes, stock and clean 06+ S2000s do go for that amount, superchargers and turbochargers rarely increase value by a large amount, so 25k is absolutely feasible. I know I would have to raise my budget for an extremely mint condition one, but that is dependent on what is available.

 

Appears you done due diligence. BTW, only the counties around DC are subject to emissions testing. A boosted S2000 is not something I would personally buy as I doubt the owner did this to drive conservatively or sedately. Boosting a good car is expensive if professionally done.
