04 Rear Tire Replacements
So I was driving to Houston on Thursday when I blew out my right rear tire. I went to 3 different places in Houston but nobody had them in immediate stock, but one guy at Discount Tire gave me a used 245/40/17 to get me back to Austin on Friday.
I have about 12,000 on my tires and have decided to just get 2 new rear tires. I know that this discussion has been brought up a lot, but it seems to be more around pre '04s.
Trying to read all of the feedback from TireRack can get mindboggling and reading how other cars perform on a particular tire may not be the same as how our cars would handle on them.
I realize that the stock tires are the best, but I am looking for a quieter ride with above average wet traction yet won't give up a lot or anything at all on dry roads.

Stock...Bridgestone...dont mix front and rear tire brands
Stay stock till your fronts go......then buy a new set if you still want to change.
