I'm keeping it stock - I figured Honda knows a bit more than I do about this.

In my books, the stock wheels and tires are excellent for drag racing and track.

But, I wanted a longer lasting tire on a nice looking wheel (bigger than stock).

That is exactly why I'm keeping my stock wheels for track use, and using my Volks for street use.

I wanna see those pics as I myself did a lot of thinking on the issue and have decided to go with 17's even though all my buds say 18's. I think the 17's still look as good, no? Or do they look to close to the stocks? Either way I would live to see your pics when you get'em

I think there are no advantages to 18s other than cosmetics. I also think the only reason 17s are better is that wider tires are available. For same width tires, you might as well stay with the 16s. In that case, I don't believe the 17s offer any advantages.

BTW, speaking of Camaros, a common upgrade is from stock 245/50-16s to 275/40-17s. It's well known, though, that (on the Camaro at least) the wider tire yields no improvement in cornering.

How about on the launch? 275/40/17 has to help the Camaro's takeoff correct?
