Default Are 18 x 7.5 all round too small?

Looking at some wheels which are 18 x 7.5 but non staggered.

These too narrow for an Ap1 or would they be ok?

spec:
18" 7.5j Kato Racing wheels and Yokohama 225 40 18 Parada spec2 tyres

The wheels aren't too narrow as the OEM AP1 rear wheel is 7.5" wide, however recommended tire sizes would probably be 205/50 or 215/50 [F] and 225/45 [R].

No, best tire sizes would be 215/40-18 front and 225/40-18 rear.

What offset?
Personally, big-diameter but skinny wheels (particularly shoved way out with low offsets) looks like absolute crap to me, personally, no way I'd go with those sizes.

Kind of agree with you there DanZ

the only reason im thinking of these is they're cheap on ebay and have some decent tyres on them. Not sure if i should just stick with stock AP1 and shod em ins ome fresh tyres

thanks for the input on tres

wonder what difference it'll make to the feel of the car being non staggered and would be heavier than stock ap1's??

Don't do it. While the AP1 wheels may be narrow the AP2 wheels aren't. I would shoot for at least Ap2 sizes which is 7.5 front and 8.5 rear. You are basically downgrading in both width and weight of the wheels. There are plenty of wheels out there that are a good upgrade performance wise.

He never really said this was for performance. The wheels will fit fine depending on the offset. You can run the 225/40R18 all the way around or like others have mentioned the 215/40R18 and 225/40R18 would be fine.
If I can help let me know.

I understand but it is a sports car so how you effect the performance should matter. Buying a narrow heavy wheel doesn't make sense to me.

Cheers all,

Performance is definately an issue. the one thing i like about the AP1 wheels is the narrow fronts are quite communicative but more grip all around would be a bonus. Think im gonna give these a miss.

will find some staggered wheels at a good price and until then i can stick with the stocks

While im on the subject, i have Avon ZV5 on the rear and really like them. not the stickiest tyre in the world but they're nice and progressive and ok in the wet (important in the UK!). Do you think i should slap a set on the front as well or are there better tyres for the money?
