I've used the 'Rack for a bunch'a years Imma. 'Don't have the time r' money to devote to personally testin' tires anymore n' there's way too many more tires out there now to pick from. Havin' the 'Rack to rely on for solid info done by the same professional testers is a big plus.
What I've heard n' read about the g-Force has been nothin' but good, but check 'em out with the 'Rack. If there's somethin' better they'll know about it.
Be well.

Is there a cheaper alternative than the stock tires? Where can I get it and how much does it usually cost?

Thanks
Quoted from an S2000 owner about General Exclaim UHP:

"Ive had these tires on my s2000 for about 20k miles and I love them. They are smooth, excellent steering/handling. I was looking for a decent tire without the ridiculous cost of some of the other brands out there. I wish General made this tire for my other cars as well, Id probably stick with it. Its been the best bang for the buck tire ive ever had. Definately recommend it."

A set of 4 (2 fronts and 2 rears) is less than $400 shipped from Tirerack.com
