5mm / 10mm wheel spacers
5mm = your call, 10mm = no way. You lose 1 full turn of a lug nut with each 1.5mm of spacer. Personally I wouldn't do it unless you absolutely need the extra clearance for a big brake kit because a 5mm spacer isn't going to make a huge difference in stance.
yes the studs will be hard work. you'll have to get them installed by a pro.
As far as the 5mm spacer, you can but i would advise highly against it. I had a set of spacers on and the lugs barely went on. During a drive, I noticed some vibration then surely right after, my front passenger wheel goes flying off the car. I'm guessing it was because the stock stud metal is so weak with the combination of my tightening the lugs, caused it to break off.
All in all, it's not worth it. Do it right the first time.

Anybody who's willing to lose 5mm of thread engagement just for 5mm more "flushness" might want to re-examine his priorities!

I would always go with different lugs. You also want to make sure the wheel is still hub centric.
Jim, any good deals going on over at tirerack now?
