I am very sorry if this has been discussed to death in the past. I have searched and I come up with nothing but conflicting views on wheel sizes.

I want to get 17x7 or 7.5 front and 17x8 or 8.5 rear. I know the stock offsets are +55 front and +65 rear. I can not find and "affordable" wheels with those offsets. Am I just dumb and don't know where to look? All I can find for 17x7 and 17x8 is +48 at the highest. If I find something that is in the neighborhood of +60 or more, the damn wheels cost like $500 each. I'm not about to pay that much for rims when I can get some for $200 that are the same weight and look just as good.

Can any of you wheel experts help me? What is the lowest offset that won't have the tires sticking out or the fenders? Is this also dependant on the tire width?

For reference, I'm also lowering my car 1.3" this weekend with KG/MM's. Will that also affect my size options?

I have no knowledge of what fits and what doesn't. Please help an idiot out.

Shuk WR1 are around $250 each and have almost the perfect offset. They are forged so they are fairly lightweight. They used to be called ASA FR1 but it has been changed on the Tire Rack site, not sure why but maybe Jim can explain that one.

Not my car, but here's a photo of the wheel:

I just noticed that King Motorsports Mugen S2000 has this setup.
Mugen MF10's
17x7.5 52 mm offset: Front
17x8.5 59 mm offset: Rear

So if I went with
17x7 High 40's to 50mm offset: Front
17x8 Low to mid 50's offset: Rear

Should I be ok?
