Default Another wheel question

Hey guys. Im looking at buying a set of 18x8 volk gt-n's with a +48 offset i believe. The wheels arent staggered, but the tires technically are. The tires are: Front: 225/40-18, and Rear: 245/35-18. Would i be alright running this setup? I have been told that i will be ok, i just want to make sure. Also, i have about a 1.5" drop on lowering springs. Any opinions/thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would try to run something slightly narrower on the front to avoid rubbing. However, if you do that, then you are putting a narrow tire on an 8" wheel, which isn't the best thing in the world. The front tires will be stretched out onto the wide wheel, while in the rear you've got something narrower than a stock AP2 wheel. Unless you are just totally in love with this 8" wheel, choose something else. The S2000 was designed to use staggered wheels and tires.

The short answer: You can do it, but it's not the best idea.

Did you read the Wheel Fitment Guide sticky? It also has a section near the bottom of the first post about stagger and wheel sizes.

Cheers.

Alright. The guy im getting them off of talked to one of the guys at tire rack, and they said i shouldnt have a problem rubbing. It just depends on how low i really am. Im getting a really sweet deal on these volks, thats why im so pressed about it. Im doing a test fit next weekend, so ill see if thye do rub or not. Is there any danger in running something like this? (non staggered). These are going to be strictly just to show off the car, for track/harder driving ill be putting my stock ap1's on. Thanks for the input...

Well as far as looks go, you will be able to tell that the tires don't fit the wheels the same way front and rear.
