Red face AP2 Stock Tires question..

Hey guys. I have a stock 2005 Ap2 . My tires are 215/45/17 Front and 245/40/17 Rear. I am thinking of changing my tires soon.

I want to upgrade them to 225 in the front and 255 at the rear . Is this a good idea ? Will i benefit from this setup ?

Thanks for your help
Tolga

Lots of people are running a 225-255 combo (including me) there isn't really a whole lot of difference in handling. You will probably notice some increase in oversteer (or decrease in understeer) at the limit due mainly to the fact that the AP2 OEM fronts are actually really narrow for a 215 (at 6.7 inches they're more like a 205). I changed due to the fact that I couldn't get the tires I wanted in a 215 size.

I normally do the wider tires when replacing them. If I can help just let me know.

what about if u keep the front stock size and go 255 at the rear , will it change performance ?

mt second question is if i switch to other tires for the rear since the rear worw out faster in our car , is it safe ?
