For 265 or 274-40-17, would I need to roll the fenders?

Also read that if you go higher than 255, that it wouldnt make much of a difference since the tire will bubble up due to it being 8.5, so basically not be able to get all the tire on the road plus look funny. Is this true?
For a 265 you should not have to roll the fenders, 275 might be getting a little close. Guess I should ask, what are you planning on using the car for? Track or drag strip or street? 255 is the largest I would use for track (road course) use, while 275 would be ok for drag strip.

It would be more for Street, Drag. Ocasionally would like to track the car but I hear the turbos get really hot on the track..

My problem Im having is now with my 235's and SSR type-c wheels, Im getting no traction if I push it on 1st or 2nd gear. So I found some ap2 wheels im going to use instead since they have a very high offset and then slap some 255 or 265's on them.

I know I could have gone with an aftermarket wheel to keep the weight down but I dont feel like paying over 1k for a high offset wheel.
