Default Better tire?

My last set of tires is a hankook V12, the rear only lasted about 13k miles. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations of a tire that last longer and for similar price range. I do not care much about performance as it is mainly a daily driver.

What? Are you serious? I thought these tires got at least a minimum of 20k normal driving.

It all has to do with his alignment and driving style.

i guess not, i got stock alignment when i got these tires. I think ive driven my car "hard" maybe once when i got these tires. I called up the shop they said typically their customers got 15k out of those tires and that 13k is nothing alarming (i dont think they are bullshitting me as they are family friends). I think i will be looking at continental DW as i hear they are rated 40k for normal driving

V12 evos have a wear rating of 280. I would think they wouod last at least 20k miles. Thats surprising. The rs3s have a 140 wear rating and people get over 10k on them under normal driving.

I got 25k-30k miles out of my Dunlop Direzza Z1 star specs, they were a daily tire. I would take a look at those, even if you aren't worried about performance, they will give you incredible handling and steering response!

yea no idea, i did have a trip to SF and and back from so cal dont know if long distance driving affects it, but yeah when i went to get my oil changed the guy said ur tires are almsot gone. i was thinking wth... i just bought these no more than a year ago, he even said i swore i remember telling you u need new tires less than a year ago. I dont track, i dont go canyon or anything. Mainly just driving to places.

I got about 25k out of my star specs as well under normal driving with a lot of highway. Star Specs have a lower wear rating then V12 evos though.

I don't know if I'd bother with Star Specs if you are getting 13K on the V12. Have you had your alignment checked? Are you AP1 or AP2? What did you get on the stock tires?
