Can you carry four unmounted wheels and tires at once?

Yes.
I went to get my summer tires mounted last week. I could have done two trips since the dealer was about 2 miles away, but where's the challenge in that?
Obviously, the passenger seat has to be removed. The trick is to shove a front wheel in the passenger footwell, then have part of this wheel sit inside the concavity of the next (upright) wheel. The remaining two wheels fit standing upright to fill the passenger seat area. I put some paper and cardboard between the wheels to protect them. It's just about a perfect fit, almost like they were designed that way...(but probably not)
Finally, it's a matter of placing one rear tire in the trunk then stacking the other three on top of the wheels. The top has to be down. You could optionally bungee cord the tires to the passenger roll hoop.
Who said the S2000 wasn't practical?

I've taken 4 mounted tires to the track in my S, without removing the passenger seat, and with the top down!

I was really surprised they fit the first time I tried that! But after this latest trip, I'm confident I can have the S as my only car (for a while). Gonna keep her forever

Actually, the rears might have been 225/50-16s...
I did this once. Could not see anything out the passenger window or passenger side mirror.
Not recommended!
I got the idea from someone on this site who had done the same thing.

I did this when I got my winters mounted (but no wheels). Sure, you can't see directly to your right, but visibility with the top down isn't bad at all. The weight of the tires and their gripiness made them stable even at highway speeds (55-60mph). You can tie them down with a bungee cord for extra peace of mind.
Taking out the passenger seat solves most of these problems.
