Default Change Tires Before Storage?

Hey guys. The tires on my S2000 are long overdue, but I'm about to go on a 3 week vacation in late December. I've read some stuff about flat spotting when a car sits too long. Would it be a terrible idea to change the tires now, or should I wait until I come back from vacation?

Tires will possibly be newer next year. I don't think "flat spotting" has been a real issue for decades but off the ground storage remains recommended for long term storage. A month ain't long term.

The Bridgestone RE-11A tires I put on my stock AP2 wheels last summer have been wonderful.

You should not get flat spots from a 3 week sit. But I would wait to install when I come back from Vay K. But that's just me. Put some extra air in the tires before you put it away.

my car stays parked for 5 months. I've never had an issue with flat spotting. ever.

These aren't bias ply tires afterall.

3 weeks isn't that long, park it on some foam pads to be safe if you want.

^ That was my suggestion as well. Foam pads if you are worried. Or, throw the car on donuts and put the tires on after you come back. Like everyone said, unless you are absolutely paranoid (like me), 3 weeks (even 6 months), should be fine.
