Default Changing Wheels from OEM

I would like to get a handle on the reason S2000 owners change to a larger wheel and perhaps get some suggestions for popular wheels and appropriate tire from Jim. What is the downside of getting larger wheels / upside / cautions?

Thanks if anyone has the patience to answer this.

Nick

Well I would say the number one reason to change would be looks followed by performance as the number two reason. As long as the wheels and tires are the right size there isn't any down side other than a little stiffer ride and the wheels will be a little more likely to see damage from pot holes.
We have wheels in 17" and 18" that will be right around the same weight as stock so you won't increase unsprung weight.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you

could you link me to wheel choices looks wise ? - does the speedmoter need fixing after this? - why do potholes effect larger wheels more? - does larger wheel impact 0-60, etc?
thanks
