I have noticed my car eating up rear tires pretty fast as of late. I had a set of sumi htrz3 that were completely bald after only 6k miles. I got an alignment after and replaced with another set and after about 4k miles they look more than half way worn. I am running about -2 camber in the rear and my toe is pretty close to stock. The car has been lowered on skunk springs for about 3 and a half years but have only been experiencing this problem in the past year. Any ideas?

 

What is rear toe *exactly*? Stock AP1 rear toe spec is a very wide range, from 0.33 - 0.67 degrees total. If it's toward the high end, have it reset to the minimum end of the range, or less even. I run 0.2 degrees total. In my experience, going from the maximum end of the range to less than the minimum more than doubled tire life with no ill effects (handling actually became more linear and less twitchy over bumps and traction-challenged surfaces).

0.4 degrees per side is WAY excessive. Have them knock it down to minimum spec: 0.16degrees per side, 0.33 degrees total. Rear tire life will be more than doubled

 

Yep rear toe is the culprit.
