Default Correct Tire Sizes for Volks

I have a set of volk LE37s that I will be putting on my 2002 s2k from my turbo mr2. They are in the need of some new tires.

17x7.5 40 offset
17x8.5 40 offset

I plan on running a 235/40 on the rear. My fronts i will be running a 205 but im not sure the proper aspect ratio to run. 40?45?

But the sizes with the most choices is front 205/45 rear 235/45. Will i be ok to turn those tires sizes on these rims?

The others have very little tires to choose from if i want to match front and rears with same tire.

Any guidance in this situation would be appreciated. And i know there will be possible rubbing on the fronts.

Thanks
Brenton

Quick Pic of the MR2. Bye Bye. Hello S2K

I have this exact setup as you and i have 225/45 and 255/40. I'm even running 5mm spacers all around too. I have a simple roll on all four corners and slammed on the ground.

Thanks for the reply! Nice! how much of a drop do you have? Im trying to stay away from having to roll my fenders too much though thats why I chose to go with a smaller tire size. Any pictures?

thats really small... you could fit oem ap2 sizes, 215/50/17 front 245/40/17.

I currently have 18x7.5 +35 and 18x8.5+35 with 225/40/18 and 255/35/18. Fronts never rub and rears rub on big holes only. Slight fender roll on the rear, no roll on front on OEM suspension.

I agree. Go with the 215/45R17 and 245/40R17. The sizes you mentioned will change the height of the tires front and rear.
If I can help with the tires let me know.

Thank you both! And Jim I will be ordering the tires from tirerack very soon within the next week. Should I just go through the site? or directly deal with you?

Either way is fine. Just enter my name as a contact name if you order online.
Thank you again,
