Daily Driver Tire for 2003 AP1
Wondering what everyone thought for a spring-summer-fall daily driver tire . . . already have winter snow tires so no need for all season.
Not looking to push too much on these tires . . . mostly to/from work, top down kind of driving . . . but would at least this time like some tread life.
That is at least compared to the S02's that came with the car (lasted one year), or what I see on reports of the RE11 or Star Specs . . . even though these particular ones are superior performing tires.
Seems the Kumho SPT or the Yokohama S Drive are the most reasonable in price for a daily driver . . . and price is very important this time around.
Which one do you think . . . thoughts?

specs and re-11s are good tires for DD. just go with whatever is in your budget bro. BUT you are more than likely to get more out of the star specs. another good option is the re50's(might have spelled that wrong) but those are good as well
Another possibility is Toyo T1-R. Good grip, comfy ride, not bad in the rain. Sidewall is a bit soft for autoX unless you really pump them up, and there are better tires if you want to do that (e.g. Star Spec).
If what you want is tread life then don't drive an S2K! Or drive it like your Grandma.
