Whatever wheels I choose to go with, they won't be AP1 wheels, regardless of the benefits

I was wondering the same thing about the lighter wheels.... When I went from my Ap1's to my Ap2v2's, I noticed it being a little more sluggish...Those rears are kind of heavy...
I just made the exact same move and noticed it does feel a tad slower as well.

Going from AP1s to 18" Advan RS is pretty noticeable in my opinion. Noticeably slower but less sway, and stiffer. I'm thinking the location of the mass is important here.... harder to spin larger wheels. I bought them because they look good though.

I think I'll just take a picture and move on to 17s. Anybody want to buy my slow a$$ advans?

Also I'm curious as to why everyone is going with 9" wide wheels. I know it's pretty popular but is it really necessary for close to stock power? Do you all seriously not have enough traction with lower sizes? I would "think" its extra weight that's not needed but please educate me if I'm wrong as I don't have experience with this.

The 9" width is not for lack of traction. It is for more outright grip. A 255 tire is the ideal size for a 9" width wheel. I went to 9" all around to increase outright grip for track days.

I had the stock AP1 16" wheels. I then got 17" RPF1's which are lighter. But it seems that 17" tires are heavier, and the farthest point from the center of rotation. I can definitely tell the car is more sluggish after I got the 17's even though the rim is lighter.
Are u running the 225-255 tire combo....I thought with the Rpf1's it would at least feel the same....If I go Rpf1's,I'm going 7.5 in the front,so I can get the 48 offset...
