Default Different tire brands front and rears

So I had the original Bridgestone RE050's on my 2004 AP2 (only bought the car 2 weeks ago) which are 10 years old and obviously not in a good way. I had to replace the rears today, and all that was in stock was Michelin Pilot Sport 3 which I've just put on. I originally wanted Bridgestone S001 all round, but the supplier I was getting from needed a week to get stock and I needed rears today they were completely shot.

So right now I have new Michelin PS3 on the rear and the old RE050 on the front which need to be changed. Either I go with Michelin PS3 on the front as well, or I put Bridgestone S001 on the front.

The concern is as such:

- The Michelin PS3 only comes in 225, and the car is supposed to have 215. They fitted the 225 on for me just to check, and there are no clearance issues as expected. Apart from the front having more grip than originally intended, are there any negatives of having a slightly wider front tire? My other concern is that the PS3 will be a bit 'soft' and not give the direct feel I'm after.

- From the reviews and content I've read, the S001 sounds like a good tire for the S, especially in my climate. Will it be a mistake to now put these on the front considering I have PS3 on the back? It sounds like they will give me the feel I'm after at the front, they have a stiffer sidewall.

Not an ideal situation, but comments and advice would be appreciated.

Not sure I would mix 2 diff makes of tires....each could have a diff compound.

I run Dunlop Dunlop Direzza's on my 03.The older version on the front and the newer version on the rear. Both compounds are very close and the wear UTOG is the same...just diff tread patterns.

Just my Opinion.

I would never in my life mix diff tires brands
The only thing I know is that Michelin Pilot sport 3 is our favorite tire and has lot of grip
We also like, realy good tire (maybe better that pilot sport 3) is Pilot sport ps2 which are fitted to the Porsche

The Super Sport is better than the ps2 in every way. I have them on the S2000 and my Porsche. Just wish I could get a set of 225/255 sizes for the s2000 (no 255 for my 17" wheels).
