Diy refurbishing

Diy refurbishing
these are the condition of the wheels i bought. Anyone have any tips on a diy refurbish? I was leaning towards sanding down curb rashes and the whole wheel to 2000 grit. Then polishing or rubbing compound? If not polishing maybe just clear coat?
Ive seen other people sand down, use bondo, sand down and primer, paint, then clear coat.
Some people use stripper to take off the clear coat which i kind of would like to avoid.
Thoughts? Thanks in advance. Really just trying to refurbish and get it back to oem color and in good condition
Paid $500 usd for these

you will remove the diamond cut finish on the faces when you sand it down. You'll remove most all the curb rash with some good blending. The worm corrosion can't be removed without removing the clear coat.
I've done this to my rough square fit autocross rims. I water sanded down to 2000 grit after removing the clear coat and paint. I used aluminum aircraft stripper with good success. The clear coat I sprayed has flaked off and yellowed since it wasn't UV stabilized. If I was to do it again, I'd have them professionally refinished, which is going to cost me around $600.
good luck!

So the only thing i have to make sure is the clear coat is uv resistant? Im looking at around $100 in supplies. Sandpaper, primer filler, paint, and clear coat.
I was going to mask off the polished spokes and paint and clear coat the other spokes. Then take masking off and polish the other spokes so it would still have that diamond cut finish look right? Of course all this would be sanded down first.
