Worth putting it into the car?

Worth putting it into the car?
I recently purchased a set of te37 sl 17x7.5 +40 square with Michelin ps2. 215/40/17 for a very good price . I'm running on ap1 wheels with sport alignment (not sure if it matters). I want to know if I should put it on my car or trade for different spec. The car will be driven in the street only.
I know that I need to do alignment again if I change the wheels that's why I'm wonder if it's worth it
and what are the con of it?

Those are not good s2000 sizes. The wheels or the tires.
But you generally shouldn’t need an alignment after a wheel change.

For reference, these are the OEM wheel specs (far as I can find):
stock AP1 are:
16 x 6.5 +55 front 17.5 lb
16 x 7.5 +65 rear 18.6 lb
stock AP2 are
17 x 7 +55 front 17.6 lbs
17 x 8.5 +65 rear 20.5 lbs
so personally I wouldn't go with front wheels less than a +50 offset, and rears less than +60 unless you're ok with rolling the fenders and possibly relocating bumper tabs. Again personal opinion here but I don't like permanently modifying the fenders, fender liner etc just to fit wrong-spec'd wheels but some people really love the appearance of slammed cars with wheels that stick out and are leaning in (which to me looks like the UCA is broken but to each their own).
To sum up, absolutely you should get different wheels and wider at least on the rear. For 17" I would at least do the AP2 sizes of 215/45/17 front and 225/40/17 rear but you'll likely be happier with a little wider so the recommendation is 225/45 front and 255/40 rear.

The wheels would fit on the front if you roll the fenders. I wouldn’t run them on the rear. I’d sell a pair and find a pair of 17x9’s. The tires are junk as they aren’t the right spec. You’d want 215/45/17 at the least but even then not a great spec for the rear of the car.
