Does a rim that is the same size, (18"), weight (18.5lbs), and quality of SSR GT's exist? I've seen hundreds of rims over the past 2 weeks, since I've began my shopping. Many are out there... but I found nothing that fit better and had better ratings than the SSR GT1 for my S2000. One problem though... they are about $600 out of my price range! I budgeted $1500 for everything (I get free mounting from a brother n law) but can't find them anywhere with tires for less than $2100. Enough to make the Mrs. kick my ass... IF ANYONE KNOWS OF ANYTHING... PLEASE HELP!!!

buy them used! seriously shop for used wheels, you can save 30% or so over new.
i'd like to point out that new tires will run $400-$600, so you're only budgeting 900-1100 for rims, that is not a lot of 18inch rims...

my brother in law works for Discount Tire... of which I recieve his discount on all Tires (10% above Cost). So the Kuhmo's with proper speed ratings will only cost me approx. 65-75 per tire. So I'll have a little more breathing room (he'll mount and balance for free too...) So I just need to find the rims for approx 1200-1300 hundred...
Just out of curiousity, besides ebay, or luck of the draw in the classifieds... do you know a good place to buy used mgiang?

if you pay attention you can pick up some nice wheels. someone just sold gunmetal Volk GTNs 18inch for 1650 with two good front tires.
12-1300 for 18inch rims is still tough (especially new). hell even for 17's that would be tough, particulary for SSRs or OZs. For that money you'd need to look at ASA (still a good wheel, but different class--imho)
