Arrow Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec

Anyone out there tried the new Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star spec tires..looking at going same size on front 215/45-17 and going to the 255/40-17 on the rear versus the stock 245/40-17 on my 2007 S2k....I was looking at the Falken Azenis but the tread depth is just too shallow for me ...but opinions on the Falkens are welcome...

you'll be very pleased with that setup on the S2000. I have the star specs on my 06 and they rock.

They can also be rotated left/right which can help cut down on innner edge wear if you rotate them as soon as you see wear starting on the inside edge. I effectively doubled the life of mine doing this.

I'd go with a 225/255 tire setup. But yes, the star specs are a great tire. They're manageable for daily driving and they're great on the track.

I also have the Star Specs in 215/255 sizes. Great tire. I Highly recommend them but I heard the prices went up at The Tire Rack.

any issues with spinning these tires in a straight line with 400+ whp or can it be assumed if they are great on the track?

+400 HP will spin any tire whether street or track or drag. There are too many factors to consider. It all depends on the application.

I was using mickey thompsons on my EK civic when it had 350whp and it didnt spin much if any at all. That's why I was curious.. I don't know anything about performance tires except for that company. I had em on my Camaro that was cammed/intake/turbo as well. They stick like crazy

There's a new version of star specs out? Am I missing something here?
