Default extreme summer tire in rain?

need some opinions ya'll

i need to replace my tires and i was thinking about the direzza star specs

i live in socal where it rains 1 month out of the year (if that haha)

the car is my daily driver so i was wondering if i should get them...

my other options are

firestone firehawk wide ovals
firestone firehawk gt

i can get a discount on the firestones...

should i worry about the rain if i get the direzzas? thanks for any help you guys can give me!

The tread pattern on Star Specs is pretty open and channels water pretty well. Still, be VERY cautious in the wet.

Watch out for a light rain after a dry spell, not enough water to wash off the the oil and dust build up on the road will make for a slippery surface.

The Star Specs have tremendous grip in the wet, but still be careful if there's standing water! Hydroplaning resistance may not be as great as other tire performance categories, and if there's a layer of water between the tire and the road, grip ~= zero...

...and you're worried about rain? It rains all the time here.

Haven't tried the Star Specs but I think they're next on my list. Had the original RE050's and I'm currently on a set of F1 GS-D3's.

I'm on RE01R in rain. They are actually a TONNN better than I originally thought they would be. I was very pleaseantly surprised by how grippy they are in rain. So, RE-11 would be just as good or better I would imagine.
