Default Fitting 235/40 on 17x8?

Hey everyone, just needed some opinions on what you guys think this would look like. I currently have 17x8+24 all around BBS LM's and was wondering if I put 235/40 tires on them would it look dumb? Would the tires be bulging out too much or would I lose any performance? Mainly wondering if it will look good or not. I would be dropping the car accordingly to fill in the wheel gap.

I think your wheels sticking out 20+mm past the fenders is what's going to look dumb.

Also, that tire size is a smaller overall diameter than stock so you're speedo is gonna be a bit off (I think most people with 17's run a 45 series).

I'm running an 18x8+50 up front with a 225/40 tire...I had to roll and pinch my fenders to prevent rubbing.

Good luck

Yeah I was wondering how much poke I would have, cause the rims were on an 07 si that I used to have but got into the s2k game Was wondering if I could just reuse the rims.I was considering getting 17x9+45 with 245/40 tires all around, would those fit nicely you think? Thanks for the feedback!

a 235 is going to have a vertical sidewall on an 8" wheel(no bulge and no stretch). looks and performance wise it's good in my book. but with your wheel specs it's not going to fit right, especially with a drop. rears might be workable with a fender roll but the fronts will poke like a mother! to be honest you will need to do some work to get this setup to look good and fit right.
