Default High speed wheel balance

Wondering if wheel balance is needed for snow tires. Already have weights on for summer tires and, I don't plan on doing any high speed driving till spring change over.

Not sure what you are asking here? What do weights for your summer tires have to do with your snow tires?

Simple answer is yes winter tires need to be balanced. If they are not it will most likely vibrate and reduce the tire life.

An unbalanced tire will wear out more quickly, not ride as nice, be louder, and but extra stress on your suspension components. Balancing is standard at every place I've seen that will mount tires.

I was thinking about getting my new Winter Tires re-balanced because they seem to get a bit shady starting around 75-80MPH. I was thinking that the shop must not have used a high speed balancer and this is why I am experiencing the slight shimmy at those speeds. The tires I got are V-Rated so I'm sure that doing 80+ shouldn't be an issue with the proper alignment. I believe a V rating is good up to 149MPH...
