It better not be the spare.

The spare doesn't count. It's a donut. You cannot safely drive on 4 spare tires(donuts) and expect the car to perform like it should. All the other wheels can... not the spare. You're not supposed to surpass 55mph with a spare installed.

And anyone who drives around on 4 spare tire is a nutjob.

Bump - found this thread in an unrelated search, thought I'd summarize my own findings. Almost all of these are called out in the thread, but not compiled in any one post. There at least TEN OE rim styles, counting different finishes (but not counting the spare!).

1. '00-'01 JDM/Euro 16-in., 5-spoke, bright silver ("flat-end" spokes)

2. '00-'01 USDM 16-in., 5-spoke, bright silver ("dish-end" spokes)

3. '00-'03 JDM optional BBS forged 16-in., 6-spoke, silver

4. '02-'03 worldwide 16-in., 5-spoke, light-champagne silver ("dish-end" spokes)

5. '02-'03 JDM Special Edition ("Gioire") BBS forged 16-in., 6-spoke, gold

6. '03-'09 JDM/Euro optional Modulo 17-in., 5-spoke, flat silver

7. '04-'05 worldwide 17-in., 10-spoke, bright silver ("AP2v1" on S2Ki)

8. '06-'07 worldwide 17-in., 10-spoke, bright silver ("AP2v2" on S2Ki)

9. '08-'09 worldwide 17-in., 5-spoke, silver ("AP2v3" on S2Ki)

10. '08-'09 USDM CR and JDM Type-S 17-in., 5-spoke, gunmetal

Nice! Thanks for finding all those pics and putting them in one post. One more style that could be added is the chrome AP1 rims.

Supposedly it was an option in the US I believe. Maybe someone who got them new can confirm, or I'll try to dig up a reference.

I'm sure there were enterprising dealers who would have offered to have it done for their customers, but I'm pretty certain it was never a factory-planned option or accessory in the U.S.
