Default Hypothetical question

What would happen if I were to put 255/45/18 and run 255/35/18 in the front. Would running the same width in front and rear cause some steering issues?

TIA.

Without modification to the suspension running the same width tires on all four corners would not improve handling. Also the tires you mention would be a lot taller tire in the front than the rear which is not a good idea.

uh jim the stock tires are taller in front than the rear? Are you sure you're not making a broad swooping generalization that specifically may not be true for RWD cars?

No the stock tires are not taller than the rear. The rear tires are wider not taller. The tires he mention would be 27" tall for the 255/45R18 and 25" tall for the 255/35R18. There is no way they fit on any car together. I was making a generalization for the handling on a S2000. If he were talking about a BMW then it is a different story.

He says 255/35/18 in the front. Not the other way around.
