i wanna run 17's from and 18's rear, with the BBS LM silverpolished lip.
what what will work? 17x7.5 and 18x9.5? i donno much about this, and also what will the tires size have to be.

The package will work fine. I would run a 225/45R17 front and a 255/35R18 in the rear. I have the wheels in stock at 576.00 front and 679.00 rear. Everybody has a good performance tire in the two sizes you mention. If I can help with a recommendation for the tires let me know.

I have a S2000 and am looking for decent tires. I do not race the car. Can you suggest good alternatives to the fast wearing rear tires?

I don't think you are going to find a longer wearing tire for the rear of the car. The way the alignment is set they are going to wear out fast no matter what tire you use. You can go to an all season tire like the Dunlop SP5000 to get the longest but you will give up a lot of performance.
