Sorry such a lame topic, but I would like to know if larger wheels (17s or 18s) and wider tires actually make the S2K handle better?

 

Well, generally, lower profile tires will flex less than higher profile tires. So, in that respect, handling will be a bit better.

 

I can see you have replaced some suspension, rims and tires. Does your car handle that much better with those add-ons or do they mostly look cool?

 

I believe with my current setup that my handling is a bit better! Not alot better, but better. I really like my suspension and the why it handles small bumps. The 18" don't make it feel too sluggish going around sharp turns.
And they look cool too!

Was the blue top an option? Here in Canada, our Suzuka Blue has a black top.

Also, get 18 inch rims if you're into looks. I chose 18 inch SSR GT-1s with SO-3s and have not regretted it.

I think my S2000 (with stock 16 OR aftermarket 18) has more handling power than I can take or dare take, any ways.

The blue top is kind of aftermarket. It is a genuine Honda part, so it was put on at the dealer. I love the color combination. I pulled up to a stop light on Saturday and a new (far more expensive) Mercedes had the same color combo...

BTW..I have the 2002 Black top for sale in the Marketplace area.
