Default Looking for feedback on sizing

Hello again S2K friends,

Looking at getting new wheels for my AP1.

Front: 17X7 +45
Rear: 17X8 +40

I looked at the wheel fitment guide provided by spa-zz (https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/342...fitment-guide/) and it says don't go more than +43 up front but will 2mm really hurt anything?

My suspension is currently stock but coil overs will be up next after wheels and a roll bar.

Any concerns or comments are welcome.

Thank you!

The larger the number the closer it is to the inside, not outside. So at +45 your
2mm less aggressive then the recommendation, so you are good.

Personally I would go with a wider wheel set so you can at least run the typical ap2 upsizing on tires such as the 225/255 stagger. Stock ap2 is 7/8.5 and 8/9 is a typical conservative rim width for the upsize on new wheels. Your current widths mentioned will accommodate a 215/235, which isn't that great.

So many people asking about these narrow sizes. 8 inches is to narrow for the rear. If you are buying new wheels you want at least AP2 sizes or wider. With the above you would likely need a fender roll once you lowered it and it will look odd with the narrower size and the 245 will be a little pinched.

The offsets are low on those wheels. So you would need to stay narrow on the tires whitch would not be a problem with the narrow wheels. I would stay with the AP2 tire sizes. If I can help with the tires let me know.
