Need Advice From REAR Yokohama ES100 Owners Loss OF Control

Ok guys here is the story...
My rear S-02's literally wore out...
Was having a $$$ problem so I could only afford the back Yoko ES100's 245/45/16
After that when driving aggressively like doing a power downshift or at over 80 MPH the back end totally looses it "somewhat expected this to a point since S-02's were still on the front"
I do not race or run the track but I DO enjoy driving aggressively on the street on occasion.....
Question is.........
Will this go away when I match up the ES100's on the front or are these tires just flat out WEAK?
I really don't want to go back to the S-02's on the rear because their 12,000 mile life sucks and they are pricey but I don't want to have to drive like a senior citizen with my good priced ES100's either....

Supposedly they're a good tire. I don't have first hand experience but from others that have gone to ALL ES100's, the handling has been very good.
Of course, the S-02's are still the better choice for flat-out grip in the dry, but at the expense of faster wear.
Just don't expect your ES100's OR your S2000 for that matter, to perform to the same levels as it did with all S-02's.

How many miles do you have on them? I've noticed that the ES100 has a large crown on it when new, once that wears down you should get more contact patch and grip. The SO2's are virtually flat the entire width of the tire, which gives them a bunch of grip.
That being said, the S02 is a higher performance tire than the ES100, so you will never get the level of traction you had with the stock tires. But you should pick up some ride comfort, a little longer tread life and better wet weather traction.

I would say I have about 200 miles on them so far...
I am also concerned about the PSI, I thought the car was acting crazy because the tires were overinflated... Checked and they had 40 PSI hot... ?????

From other posts (you may want to do a search) the ES100's are very slick when new. I seem to recall they do better after 500 - 1000 miles and the lower air pressure as s2ka stated. Also other posts indicate that the S02 fronts and ES 100 rear combo is not as stable as ES100's all around.

I have driven new ES100's all the way around and it felt like driving on the greased road. On the curvy road I was four wheel drifting through the turns. I would suspect it's due to releasing compound and once they wear out it should grip better.

Oh, also S0-2 were pretty slippery when new as well... I remember complaining about them. After few thousand miles they were griping better. probably due to same reason.

Everyone is correct about the ES100. It does not have the same level of grip as the OE S02. They will improve over time when the release compound is off the tires. The handling would also be more predictable with the same tire on all four corners.

Well.... I decided I am going to go get the Yoko ES100's put on the front tomorrow 205/55/16.
Hopefully that will put an end to the out of control rear end problem.
As far as the PSI I think I am going to run...
FRONT: 32 PSI
REAR: 30 PSI
Any thoughts or comments????
