My question is when to replace the rear S-02. I have not reached the threadbars yet but when should I change them. Should I change after I reach the threadbar or should I change before the threadbars are reached.

Ultimately that is your call. I will say that the tires will not be very good in the wet if you are near the wearbar. Just slow way down in the rain.
