Default Need advice on wheel size...

Want to upgrade from OEM 16".!
Should I go with 17"X7"5" +45 and 17"X 8.5 +50.
OR
18" X8" +48 and 18" X 9" +55.???
Weight for the 17" is +/-18 pounds,and for the 18,+/- 20 pounds.!
Car is lowered +/- 1" on Kg/mm sports and Koni, and is a week-end,summer fun driver.
Price is about the same;either Advan RGII,or SSR GT-7.
Thanks.

Man, you are really struggling with this, eh? What is this, your third post on the subject?

Here goes:

Which do you like better?

Write your answer here.

Now, go and buy the wheels you just wrote above. Forget what others think, this is your car.

p.s. 18x8 +48 could rub. Don't use too wide of a tire. Stick to 225 or narrower.

In all seriousness, I don't think it was a stupid question. I put a smilie at the end of my original post... I was just kidding around Emil.

I just thought I saw the same question from you a few times where you are asking others about which wheels to buy. (Isn't that your choice?) You've been around here a long time and thought you would know the differences between 17s and 18s... so I was messing with you a bit.

Didn't mean to cause hard feelings.

Hope you don't really think I'm an asshole, I try hard to help people out on this forum (created the fitment guide, try to answer questions a lot, etc.... look at the last sentence in my first post... did you miss that?) and I hope you've seen that in my posts. Calling me names is a little harsh I think, at least I didn't go that low.

Cheers mate.

Sorry,if I hurt for feelings;if you don't behave like an asshole,...then....
O.K.maybe,I had a bad day,it can happen....
My excuses.

So,you say you wanna help? help me then.

I decided to get Advan RG II,17" X 7"5" and 8.5";+48,+55.
Now for the tires;Want to stay as close as possible to the OEM O.D.
Was thinking Fuzion ZRi 225 /45/17 and 255/40/17;presently running ZRi 225/50/16 and 245/45/16.
What do you think???
-Emil.

P.S.:I'm dropped about 1.1" all around on Kg/Mm,and Koni,and don't want any rubbing;on U.K.alingment.
And, can I use the OEM nuts?

Cool. You've decided to get the Advan. Good choice.

On the front, you're going to be close. Personally I would try to stick with the OEM AP2 tire size, 215/45. 225/45 will work too but MAY have a chance of rubbing.

On the rear, you'll have a bit more clearance, so you should be able use that 255/40 you mentioned.
