Default need advice on work xd9s!

google images is pissing me off. im prolly gonna buy 17x7 and 17x8.5 xd9s. im trying to decide on an offset, i want as much lip as i can get in those sizes.

they have 17x7 +32 and 17x8.5 +25. from some pics on google images thats not that much lip but i thought the lower number the more lip it would be? theres some pics that have +44 offset that have a lot of lip so this is why im confused. is it the wider the rim your gonna have more offset? any pics or advise would be awesome.

Did you really need another thread? Don't do 17 18 staggard first off. Second offset and width effect each other but for these work actually says on their site how deep the lip is for each size. Finally +20 anything will not fit.

Anything in the +20-30 range pretty much won't fit. +25 won't fit. Good sizes were suggested in your other thread.

A lower offset doesn't always mean a larger lip, especially on 1 piece wheels. In this case the wheel width is what gives you a bigger lip and you need to run a 9.5" rear to get it. You can see in the size chart that lip size does not increase based on offset:

Bottom line for the look you want: Get 8.5" +42 front and 9.5" +38 rear and do the work to make them fit. The discontinued 9.5" +44 would be easier to fit in the rear if you can find a set used.
