Default Need new front tires for '06

I am looking to replace the front tires on my '06 since they were not aligned properly for a while and have a lot of inside wear. They are still the OEM tires, RE050, and the back tires were just replaced by way of road hazard insurance (two occurrences).

I have been looking at the Dunlop Star Specs, and with the Potenza RE-11 just coming out, I am basically trying to decide between those two, and another pair of the originals.

Would I have any problems replacing just the front two tires with either the Star Specs or RE-11 until the back tires are ready to be replaced?

You should be more than fine, i ran an entire summer on RE050 in the front and Azenies 615's on the rear and really didnt notice anything different besides having more traction in the rear.

It would not hurt the car to mix them but at the limits the car is going to understeer. The rear tires will overpower the front tires. For everyday driving it will never be a problem. For an emergency situation it could come into play.
If I can help let me know.

Just a bump and and hoping I can get an answer about the RE-11 front tires sizes for the same stagger as the originals... Thanks.

I've still got Z1 SS's on the front and haven't replaced the rear 050s yet on my MY06. I've got a stock US-spec alignment.

At the limit, my car oversteers like crazy--the fronts are quite a bit stickier than the back tires. It's temporary, so I've just kept VSA on when driving around. I haven't had any trouble.
