Those tires cost a lot more there than they do here. Good Luck.

RT-615's dont come in 245/40/17's. They do have a 255/40/17 and a 235/40/17 though...

I would suggest running the 235/40/17. The contact patch for it is 8.7" and damn close to lots of 245 wheels, even bigger than some. You will not maintain the same stagger as stock but they should fit better.

Oh and you overpaid for them too... have your shop pricematch edgeracing.com or some other online shop.

Good luck!

Jim

I know they don't come in 245/40/17

You will need to roll your fenders to run a 255/40/17 RT615 tire. Jim is right, 235/40/17 will work for you with the RT615.

Good Luck

I was having the same problem with my 17x8 +43. I have ordered new set of Rt615 215/45 and 235/40. Azenis Rt615 Tread width is wider than most tires out there, so try that so you dun have to buy another brand new front tires.

It would be much simpler for you to just get different tires. I would insist that the tire shop replace your tires with something in the correct size. It is their fault for putting something other than what is advisable on there. You need to call them up and tell them what happened, and ask them what they intend to do to correct the situation. I work in the biz- and I don't really mess with people's tire sizes unless I know it will be a safe conversion. With low profile tires, it is almost never okay to just add profile unless you compensate accordingly. They are responsible! (It is also your fault for accepting them without knowing the consequences, but you can pass it off on them for now...)
You will have a hard time finding shops that will machine wheels. It is risky business, and most of the wheels for our cars don't allow that anyhow. Just get different tires!

Hey guys...I was not having any problems before, then I got tires that were the wrong size and now I'm having rubbing issues. Should I get the rims machined or cut the fenders off?

Are you serious?

Seeing as how a tire store sold you tires that didn't fit, tell them, they don't fit, they rub, I need new tires.

+47 offset with fully rolled fenders and a 255/40/17 RT615 should not rub. Maybe you are not running a decent amount of camber in the rear?

Anyway, just purchase the 235 rears
