Default Non-staggered Tire Fitment question

I'm looking at some 17x8.5 +55 rims all around...

Would a fender roll be enough for the fronts to clear with a 255 tire? If not, how about a 245 or 235?

Also, would a roll be required on the rear?

Thanks in advance!

Is your car lowered?

The rims will fit fine, but a 255 will rub in the front. A 225 should be good in the front. I think the back will fit perfect with 255's.

My car is lowered and I am running +55 18 x 8.5's with a 255's on the back with stock fenders. And they don't rub. I have +50 18 x 7.5 with 215's on the front and they don't rub the stock fenders either.

You probably could go up to a 235 and a 265 with some fender work.

You can probably get away with a roll and camber in the front. How much camber? I can't say, but it's doable. 245 is safer and 235 will probably fit no problem with maybe just a trim of the fender liners and cutting or bending off two tabs.

I am running a 255/40/17 on a 9" +55 front. You will need to trim the fender liner and bend 2 tabs up that suspension mentioned. Once those tabs are out of the way you may not even need to roll as it will free up a ton of clearance. If you feel along the underside of the fender it should be pretty obvious what needs to be done. I am lowered on Espelir springs as well, so if you are at stock height then it will be an easy fit.

im using 17x8.5 58 with 245/40/17 all around no rub or anything. 1.7 and 2.0 camber for front and rear respectively. of course im not lowered but even then i think i will clear, just dont slam the car.

This is the best news I've heard yet

Just for reference, what tires are you running? Reason I ask is that some tires are wider than others...

I'll be running my stock suspension for quite a while, and if I actually manage to load my front suspension enough to rub on the outside wheel... I may downsize to a 245

Thanks bro!
