Default Non-Staggered tire size

For the next year or so I will be running 4 AP1 rears and its time to get new tires. I will be looking at running 245 all around.

These will be my first time on an S2k with non-staggered set up and I will be trying to learn it while I save my funds up for a 17-9.5 set up with front and rear fenders ect...
wide body set up cost sooo much,

or I may discover I hate it an stick with a traditional set up.

My question is since the Profile of the stock tires is different what should i stick with the front stock 55 or the stock rear 50 ?

Though a quick search shows no one making an 245/55/16 on tirerack, but I still wonder why there is a difference between front and rear profiles?

And last without bringing out the war of proper AP1 rear replacement tires size would 225 be a better choice?
Car is stock for the time being.

You need to do your homework on what the numbers in a tire size actually MEAN! A 245/55-16 would be WAY too tall!

225/50-16 all around will be your best bet.
245/45-16 would be a great option but for the fact that the best street tires are not available in this size.

BTW, it's NON-staggered, not "none staggered"!

Thanks for the correction, I never knew a stock 205/55-16 front tire and 245/55-16 would have a difference in height, thanks

Yup. The "50", or "55", or "45" represent sidewall height as a percentage of tread width.

So a 205/55-16 has nearly exactly the same sidewall height as a 225/50-16
205*.55 = 112.75mm
225*.50 = 112.5mm
So tire diameter is the same (~24.8")

A 245/55-16 would have a sidewall height of 134.75mm, +22mm taller sidewall, +44mm (1 3/4") larger-diameter tire!
