Default offset help

Hi everyone.
I need some advise for my 2003 s2000,
Im looking at 2 sets of wheels
1st set is -- Wheel Spec: 17x8 +45, 17x9 +45 running with 225/45 up front and 255/40s out back.
2nd set is -- rota Wheels Spec: 17x7.5 +45 and 17x9 +42 hub bore size 73mm

my questions are:
-will the 2nd set work and if not why?
-can i run the same tires as the 1set set if not what will work? i was told i should run 215/45 f and 245/40 R
-should i use a hub rings?

i will be doing the fender rolls(yes i gave in) and a 1" drop
will these offsets work?

thanks

With a full roll and fender tab relocation in the front you should be just fine.

2nd set will work if centric rings will be included. You may need to massage the rear a bit more to get another 3mm out of it. Tire sizes are a little conservative. I'd run a little extra camber too and go 225/45f and 255/40r.

s2000 bore sizes are 70.3f and 64r

Yes, yes, and yes. You are talking about a 3mm difference in the rear, won't change much at all. Almost all aftermarket wheels have oversized bores to fit a variety of cars, usually 73mm. If you want them to be hubcentric then you need rings, 73 to 70.1 for the front and 73 to 64.1 for the rear. You would probably be fine without rings though, a lot of people run without them.

A quick google rendered me this thread: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/795...ub-bore-sizes/

I wouldn't run without rings, you don't want your wheels solely resting on your studs.

Another reference for 70.3f: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/933...ring-question/
