Default Offset question for 18 inch wheels

Ive got a few questions.. I searched but came up with nothing. Im looking for a set of 18s but I have no idea what will fit and what wont.

The wheels Im looking at right now have these specs. Im pretty sure the fronts will fit but Im worried about the rears.

Front: 18x7.5 w/48 offset

Rear: 18x8.5 or 18x9.5 both w/35 offsets

So my question is, will they fit? if not, then how far off will they be.. Will it be something that I can work with i.e. shave my fenders or is there no hope at all..

Another question.. How do spacers work? If I get 15mm spacers for the rears would it make the total offset 20mm or 50mm?

I searched for a faqs section on widths/offset but couldnt find one.. So if there is a faqs section on widths/offset can you please post the link.

Thanks in advance,
Edmond

No way it will fit in the back. the front will be ok if you run 215s

65 mm give or take 5. The less offset you have, the more the outer edge of the rim/tire will move away from the center of the car.
