Default Ordered new tires

Avon Tech M550 A/S.

205/55ZR16 front
225/50ZR16 back.
With road hazard all came to $405.00

I have on my car right now,
Michelin Alpine 205/55 R16 front
Pilot Alpine 225/50 R16 back

Tires still have alot of treadlife left, but one tire (unfortunatly) I found was flat with a pretty good sized screw in it on Saturday. It's patched up, but I really dont feel like riding on it and ending up putting on the spare if it decides to blow out.

Will post a review after some miles have been put on.
Tires should arrive this Friday.

The 550AS will give you longer tread life and some winter traction. They are a fair handling tire but not as good as a summer performance tire.

Can someone clarify this? After reading the long stickied thread up top about how we should get 245/45/16 if we were to choose non-OEM tires, I've noticed that there aren't that many tire choices in that particular size and AP1 drivers don't seem to be concerned anymore about choosing 225/50/16 for the rears. What's the concensus on this? Thanks.

225/50-16 are just fine.

The sticky should be put to rest imo...

I feel dumb for not reading up on that
However, said thread never came up on forums search for me.

Tires came in around noonish yesterday, blew my mind they came so quick.
Will have them put on this week, I plan on doctoring my rims first though.
