Default PRODRIVE GC-07 AND SPOON CALIPER

hi guys i just installed my spoon caliper on my s2000. someone said on this forum that you wont be needidn spacer on 48 offset.. well i found out that its not true..... i had to put a 1/4 spacer thats 5mm on my wheels just to fit with the spoon caliper.. although 3mm will likely fit .... but the clearance is like less than 1mm... my mechanic said that its unsafe.. so they required me to use 5mm wheel spacers.. my question is is it safe to use 5mm wheel spacers with your stock wheel bolts??? or do i have to replace then with a longer one???? how many threads on the bolts will be safe to say that it will hold the wheel on??? thanks so much guys!!!!! good day!!!

i think it will be safe with a 5mm. anything over that i would recommend some longer studs

anyone else want to chime in?

I would not use 5mm spacer without extended studs. You will lose ~3 turns of thread engagement. Your call.

You need 8 complete rotations of the nut for our bolt diameter and thread pitch.
