Purchasing Wheels Tomorrow
hey guys, i'm sure i'll receive a lot of hate aka flaming but will be buying varrstoen 2.2.1's tomorrow (18x9.5 et12 front and 18x10.5 et15 rear). with that said was wondering to those who PREFER the hella flush/stance scene do you think a 225/35/18 on the front and a 255/35/18 on the rear will be a nice stretch? i figure i'll shave my front and rear fenders for the most clearance possible and even adjust my coils to eliminate rubbing completely, also in terms of camber how negative can the front and rear go on stock components?
I think you under estimated what your going to have to do to make this work. Those tires aren’t going to make up for your 2" of poke beyond the fenders. Try those 225 in the back and some 205 up front.
The lower you drop your car the more negative camber you can get. You might want to check out the "hella flushed" thread for some more specific info.

I like the toe hook, that’s a nice touch. Obviously meant for getting back up onto the trailer, not for the track

no, alberto (username s2kberto or so) us running 225/35/18 all around and i feel a 225/35/18 on a 10.5 is just way unsafe so don't want to do it, i contacted the varrstoen and spoke to phil who informed me of the sizes being ran on the green s2k and no, if i raise it and adjust my camber i'll be alright to drive.
A friend of mine is running 17x10 +50 with a 255/40 in the back. He has almost no gap and the rear camber is around -3.5. If you look straight down his quarter panel a little bit of tire is poking out at the top. Your setup compared to his is that your's is going to poke 41mm. Be prepared to run a ton of camber and have fender work done to get it to fit. And with that much rear camber you're going to need you may not have as much contact patch on the street. I may be wrong with the last statement but if someone can chime in and correct me if I'm wrong.
The lower you are the more negative camber you can achieve.
