Default Question about Choice of Tire Size

I have decided to purchase 4 brand new RE 01 R tires because I believe I will be quite happy with this decision. My question now is about size and tread width ratios.

The AP2 stock tread widths on the RE 050 are:
215/45ZR17 and 245/40ZR17
Front 6.7
Rear 9.0

RE 01 R stock size tread widths are:
Front 8.0
Rear 9.0

RE 01 R larger size 225/45ZR17 and 255/40ZR17 are:
Front 8.3
Rear 9.4

What do you guys reccommend for my situation. Will there be any rubbing?
I am not a track driver but a seriously spirited street driver.
I also have read that Alignment makes a very big difference on handling and performance, I also could use any alignment suggestions as I dont have experience on that Either.
Id love all opinions to assist me in my final decision. Thanks in Advance!

What bias are you more comfortable with, understeer or oversteer?

I don't think that matters with the RE01Rs that he has. If he wanted more oversteer, then he'd have to get a non-staggered setup (or something closer to it). The AP2 is more prone to understeer than oversteer in its untampered state.

As for rubbing issues, what wheels are you running? Stock OEM AP2s will not rub with your setup.

Im running these sizes and love it. Havent driven it hard enough to say it has greater under/over steer and dont feel like trying to figure it out right now lol.

What should this yield on an ap1? less over steer and move under??
