Default Reccomendations for new Tires!

This is my first performance car and I admit I am a neophyte when it comes to purchasing replacement tires! The threads throughout this forum frequently mention the S-02 OEM's and the S-03's as replacements but not many others (at least not consistently). Also I have not found any references to Michelins, Pirelli, other Bridgestones .... etc. I want to keep my OEM Rims and am looking for recommendations and experiences from other S2K owners who kept their OEM rims. I am looking for performance on different brands I don't need another thread on tire size. By the time I am ready to purchase I may be smart enough to do so! Hope you all can help .... I live in Louisiana where it is hot and rainy (and when it rains it usually pours)

The OE tire is about as good as it gets on this car for performance. You mention rain and that is where the S03,the Pilot Sport or the Yokohama AVS Sport will come into play. There are many tires that will work on the car but you need to decide what best fits your needs. Most people like the S02 and the S03 and they seem to be the best sellers for the car.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you

Hey! I live in Alabama and I was having trouble in the rain. The back end would get real squirrelly at highway speeds. I put Michelins Pilot Sports on the back and what a difference. Especially when raining on the highway. Fixin to get two for the fronts. Also, the Michelins have a 300 wear rating instead of a 140 on the OEM. Do a search on Michelins and you should find others on this board that like them. Oh, I stayed with the same size as the OEM.
PM if you have any other questions.
