hehe I guess a rare $1500 intake which gives the same hp as a $300 is totally ok on this forum. I understand the JDM exclusiveness is great but the price is not

I actually also REALLY like my AP2 wheels. but some nice S2000 specific rotas would be great too (maybe not the RE30 knock offs, but you get the idea)

I think it wouldnt be a bad idea at all for someone to contact rota and setup a GB for a few types of S2000 specific Rota wheels. I'd be down.

This whole Rota crap has to stop.

Some people can't afford or don't want to fork out the $ for the real thing.

I hope everyone that bitches about the Rota wheels never buys generic products too. Make sure the next time you need a prescription you ask for the NAME BRAND too because you want the royalties to go to the company that developed it right ??? Stop drinking powerade and Pepsi too...those are copies....

Kinda funny....imho I would want LESS people buying the authentic stuff. I would like to be the one guy that rolls up w. Volks instead of Rota... because I know they are the real deal.

This also is why Target, Walmart, Kohls all exist...because not everyone shops at designer stores. You should go picket in front of those places.

hahahaha i hate Target! but good point. i obviously like the TE-37's and many other Volks but i do admit, i do like the Rota D2's (im not a fan of these RE30 replicas). im not saying id gey any D2's, but thats only because i already have Volks that im very happy with. Rota does make some nice wheels and they are a lot cheaper than the JDM brands and they are lighter than most, so i think they're a good company...i just dont see how they get away with it. i would think there would be some type of copyright lawsuit involved

My issue is not about being elitest, this knock off crap hurts the companies that produce the real thing. I dont care if someone has a 300 dollar intake or a 1500 dollar intake and in all honesty many times the cheap intake matches or exceeds the gains of the expensive one. My issue is just that blatant copying for profit is just plain wrong. Rota should just come up with thier own damn wheel styles. I could care less about JDM this or that, copying for profit is wrong regardless of what market it may be.

Body kits... unless they are functional, as long as the fitment in good, i'll take the replica in a heartbeat.

intake... does not do much anyways, i'll take the best deal.
header/exhaust - I don't care, as long as there are dyno #s that show an increase in performance.

wheels - no... just no. especially trying to copy a FORGED wheel, and not forging it! I have to trust my wheels and my suspension to feel safe in a car. I have to trust my car. this just wont do it for me, and it's down right not smart.

If you got the money then fork it out and if you dont then dont. Heck knock off body kits..if it fits like a glove and looks like the real deal then it makes my boat float. To me the Whole wheel issue faces that same delema. I personally had a good time searching endlessly for decent looking wheels for my S [That werent like everyone elses in here]. Quite frankly I don't like the styles that are out there right now especially not when there coming with a price tag of over 500 a piece thats a no big nono! Would i go dirt cheap with my S...no but id like variety in wheel choices and if some company decides to make reliable knockoffs with correct fitment to make the S then power to them. but thats just what i think
