Default Rim and tire Question?

My friend just ordered a set of wheels for his WRX when he noticed that by accident the company (which will not be mentioned) sent him a second pair for FREE! Its the ADR Version II, they look identical to a Racing Hart C5 with smaller spoke size and larger lip. The wheel size is a 18x9 rim with 35mm offset. Will this size work for the S2000? I called one of the local shops and they stated that the rim would fit as long as the mm size is positive. Any feedback on this would help tremendously if possible!

Wow!!! lucky for ur friend.

Tooo!!!! bad for u

+50 is pushing it for the S.

and +38 for ur friends wrx. let me guess, the wheels are flush to the fenders.

i had a Wrex once, and had +48 which is already pushing it.

good luck.

Oops bolt pattern won't fit the S. the Wrex's bolt pattern is 5x100, next closest thing are the volkswagon. but will need spacers for brake clearance.

sorry to dissapoint u

Well its a 5x100/114.3 bolt pattern combo. Its a great looking wheel, only wish I could use it on my S. The only reason why I ask is because his asking price of $400 for brand new still in the box 18's are outstanding! So theres no way these rims will work?

You're gonna have to choose between those rims or your fenders. You can have one, but not both

If I were to roll the fenders inward would that make much of a difference? Or is my S2000 going to be the first with no rear fenders ! If there is a way that this could work without making massive cosmetic changes I would do it just because these rims are really elegant in every sense. Could they work or is it out of the question?

63-65mm would be the ideal offset for a 9 inch wheel. Those wheels are 30mm too low.

This means the wheels will stick WAY out past the fenders. I don't think any amount of rolling would help you with an offset that low.

You can always get an air suspension and raise the car up another 5". Nah, those won't work you will definitely regret it.

haha.... sounds like ur really desperate for these wheels. Well if u really wanna push it, roller ur fenders, get some really neg. camber, some really narrow tires, and raise ur car an 1 or 2 and u'll be fine.

For the price and the look of the wheel, its so hard not to make a big deal about it. I guess Im gonna miss out on this though. How far exactly will the wheel stick out though? I've seen 40mm in the rear and its not that far out, how bad can 5mm more look?

You saw a 9 inch wheel with a 40mm offset on the rear of an S2000? And it didn't stick out?

The wheels you want won't fit. No matter what you do. Put them on your car and see for yourself.
